The rules in a minute

How it plays

You settle an island of hex tiles: forest, pasture, fields, hills and mountains. They produce lumber, wool, grain, brick and ore.

  1. RollEvery tile has a number. Roll it, and everyone with a settlement next to it gets resources.
  2. TradeSwap with other players, the bank or a harbor. Haggle by drag & drop.
  3. BuildRoads, settlements and cities earn victory points. First to 10 wins.

Every island plays differently

  • Standard

The classic board: 19 tiles, 9 harbors.

  • Large standard

The board for 5–6 players: 30 tiles, 11 harbors.

  • Desert land

Large board with 6 deserts – resources are scarce, so trading matters.

  • Lake district

37 tiles with 5 inland lakes – build along the shores.

  • Fog coast

Standard board, but the harbors stay hidden until setup is over.

  • Mystic land

Standard board, but everything is hidden: tiles, numbers and harbors. Settle blind – then everyone reveals their tiles.

  • Giant realm

61 tiles with 3 deserts and 3 lakes – lots of room, long roads.

  • Island world

3 islands separated by sea: build ships (lumber + wool) and earn 1 bonus victory point for each new island.

  • Gold rush

Large board with 3 gold rivers and fish lakes – both give you resources of your choice.

  • Your own map

Set size, deserts, lakes, islands and harbors with sliders. Share it as a code.

Buried treasure

Build first, find relics

With random events on, relics are hidden under some intersections. Build there to find one, then use it this turn or next.

Number stone

Change a tile's number by +1 or −1 – for the rest of the game.

Shield amulet

A tile of your choice is safe from robbers for the rest of the game.

Harvest scales

A tile of your choice produces double or half for the rest of the game.

Waiting

Short on players? Bots in three skill levels fill the empty seats.

FAQ

Does it cost anything?

Playing is free. No account, no download, no ads between turns.

Do my friends need an account?

No. They open the link or type the 4-letter room code, pick a name, and they're in.

There are only two of us. Does that work?

Yes. The game takes 2 to 6 players. The host can fill empty seats with bots in three skill levels, and with 5 or more the board gets bigger.

I have no one to play with right now.

“Open rooms” lists games with free seats: enter your name and click “Join”. Or open your own room and see who shows up.

How long does a game take?

Playing to 10 victory points, 45 to 90 minutes, depending on player count. For a quicker game, the host can lower the target or set a turn timer.

Does it work on a phone?

Not yet. The board is built for a mouse and a big screen. On your phone, send yourself the link and open it on your computer.

What if someone drops out?

Just open the link again – the seat is still there. Anyone gone for longer gets skipped, and someone else can take over their seat via the link.

The island is waiting.
